View Full Version : installed the wrong firmware.

Hi...everyone

I've installed firmware 3.31 (DMB) and right now, it's not working.

I can turn on it but the menu doesn't come up.

What should I do? Someone help me, please?

Plug it into the computer and install the right one instead?

When you plug it on your computer, can it be recognize???
In this case put files from 1.31 archive, unplugged and restart your S9 again.

Yep, it can be recognized. So, how can I get FW 1.31 archive?

ps. When I turn it on. It shows " invalid resources"

T_T It's not working. But one thing I forgot to say. My S9 is not DMB.

Which is why 3.31b isn't working.
1.31b is korean firmware, not dmb so it will work on any cowon s9 out there.

But if 1.31b isn't working, your probably screwed, or maybe try an earlier version like 2.30.

When I turn it on. FW doesn't upload automatically. I don't know why.

Your most likely have to send your device in now unless you can talk to Cowon's LIVE Chat support and see what they can do for you. Just remember from now on that us normal Cowon owners (Non-DMB owners) can only use 1.XX and 2.XX firmwares ONLY.

Perhaps make a reset after transfer files and unplugged before restarting the device.

would i be making a smart choice in only installing FW downloaded from cowon america?

Right now, It's working but I got a DMB icon in my S9.

Is it wrong or weird?

ps. I also can't go back to FW 2.30 -*-
