View Full Version : Strange remote wire situation

I put my M3 in my pocket today ready for the walk to the bus stop, but then as I was walking noticed the dreaded cutting out of sound. I wiggled the wire at the remote and sure enough the sound was cutting out. However, I then tried "screwing" the wire back in, like twisting it clock wise as if it was a screw. Now there's no cut out. I'm not sure if I'm just prolonging a problem that I should get fixed, but it seems to be working OK again.

Is it possible for this to become unscrewed? Anyone else had a similar situation?

Nope, the wires are soldered to the PCB. What you describe sounds like a bad solder point and usually it'll become worser in time.
I saw a M3 remote once where you could switch on/off the backlight in the way you described. It's a case for the service.

You should get your M3 checked out before more damage happens. You should still have warranty too

Oh yeah, we don't have cheesy warranties! :D
I'm good for a year! Yay!
