i found out how it works, but it's difficult to explain, well let's do it:
when you download the map, it contains the mainmenu and some .config file's in map's. you've got DMB, K(orean)_DMB,No DMB and K(orean)_no DMB.
In those maps you find .config file which you can edit. You can just open them with a text editor like wordpad. when you open diy_main (found in the no dmb map which most of you will proberbly will use) you will see this:

name=Music|Video|Picture|Text|Flash|Browser|Radio| Record|Dictionary|NotePad|Hunter|Widget&swf=Music|Movie|Picture|textbrowser|flashbrowser|b rowser|radio|record|dic|notepad|hunter|widget

everything that ends on | will make an icon, so if you do like this: music|, there will appear a sqaure on you cowon s9's screen with music written in it. so if you enter movie| you made an icon for you're uci. so when you enter
| (open space) there appears no square, so you have a empty space. so that's the way you can configure you're own menu with the icon's you wan't.

that is for the menu so it can find the .swf you need, so for music screen write down music| for flash flash browser
here is the list for all the .swf's:

then just save it,not save as because then it will save as .txt or something like that.

you also have diy_sub, when you open that you will find this:

chgtheme|bright|wallpaper|bluetooth

it works exactly the same as the diy_main, you only have other icons
setting - opens settings menu
chgtheme - will change theme
bright - will change brightness
wallpaper - change wallpaper
bluetooth - bluetooth on/off

with this you can make more icon's, like 2nd menu


the special thing about this theme is that you can make you're own icons, you
just must to make shure that the .swf file of that icon is located in the system folder
so when you wan't the flipclock enter: Clock|
and the &swf= Flipclock (or whatever you called it in you're system folder.)
it will look something like this: name=|Music||Movie|Radio||Clock&swf=|music||movie|radio||flipclock

then just plug-in you're Cowon S9, copy mainmenuX and the diy_main.config and diy_sub.config in you flash ui folder and see what you made!

i'm not sure, but i think by 'use own icons' he meant to label the squares (screenshot of the uci he posted) like you want them to have. so that may also instead of "Music" you can rename it like "música" or like "Mr. Bonheurs Sound". ;-) not sure if i got him right, but i think that's what he meant. got it?^^

The only thing I'm having trouble with is getting Claw's user settings onto its own icon. Is there any reason why this couldn't be possible?
