Firstly, let me explain why I think this thread has been ignored.
1) - You claim "nobody is helping", yet several people have tried.
2) - You have opened multiple threads, all using the same "help me i'm useless" style of posting. This is considered annoying and wastes our time.
3) - Detailed instructions on how to install rockbox, and in fact do pretty much anything you want, can be found on this forum quite easily if you take the time to search and read other threads.
4) - You have already been given *specific* instructions, which clearly work as they have done for other people.

If you take the time to read my post in your other thread, here: http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showpost.php?p=237978&postcount=2
...
and you are certain that when you restart your D2 with a file named "D2N.bin" on it, it does not display the "Upgrading Firmware" screen, then the only reason I can think of is that you already have D2+ firmware on it.
Please, write down/type here the exact text shown on the "Information" page in "System" in the settings section of your D2.

The reason I am reluctant to give you instructions for how to use TCCtool, is that if you cannot follow simple instructions (my post linked above) then I doubt you will be able to use TCCtool. Besides, there are already clear, detailed instructions in the sticky thread.

i have disided that it is not worth it it wont install so there is no need to force it too i have given up on this until rockbox is completely finished

Wait, have you inzipped the rockbox file and named the folder .rockbox, not just rockbox

opc100: that would make no difference. the .rockbox folder is only read by the rockbox bootloader once that is successfully patched into the Cowon firmware.

I think the most likely reason for killjoy's failings is that he has been using the wrong firmware image for his firmware. But I cannot prove that as I don't know for certain which firmware he currently has installed, and which patched file he has been trying to get his D2 to recognize.

P.S - killjoy, Rockbox will never be "completely finished". There is no such thing. It is an open source project which is constantly under development. Even if the D2 port gets to the stage at which it can become a supported target (which of course is what we all want eventually), it will never be "finished".
