Cowon, you just got yourself a loyal customer! :)

Remember I complained about some apple lossless files that didn't work (converted by Toast Titanium). I sent an email to Cowon, and lo and behold - one good week later they've fixed it! All my ALAC files now work.
Very impressive.

Thanks Cowon!

Hmmmm? WOW! How did this miracle happen???!!!! Was it in the firmware update? Oh gosh, so they DO listen to us. I was wondering about that apple lossless I was seeing in the changelog but I never guessed it was directly connected to your problem. GREAT!

Ooops, yeah, I forgot to mention it was fixed in the new firmware 1.28. :) I did send them an affected alac file, and they said they would look into it. Maybe I got lucky, but that's pretty darn good service if you ask me.

That's a sweet deal, no? You got bit by the ALAC thing, felt the yum of FLAC, and now, with a firmware upgrade, don't have to re-encode the whole kit and kaboodle!

I, for one, am very happy to have something to turn ALAC sno- erm... folks to. HEY! I'm a FLAC snob, so don't throw stones, I know I'm in a glass house. I polish the celing...

Back to the POINT. It's EXCELLENT that there's a REAL, Musical, Good-Quality ALAC alternative. Woo Hoo!

*runs off to grab new firmware*

Haha, I just sent an email mentioning that embedded album art doesn't show up on the O2, in my flac and m4a files at least. We'll see... :) I think smaller fixes that are easier to do is more likely though..
