View Full Version : So...how do equalizers work when your playlist has more than one genre?

Equalizers are suited for one genre only right? So wouldnt a rock song sound better on a rock equalizer, but when it switches to a classical song, wouldnt the song sound worse because its on the wrong equalizer? In this case isnt a flat EQ better?

I haven't tried it, but I'm almost sure the Samsung P2 and P3 have custom EQ settings you can associate with a Genre.

As customizable as the S9 is, perhaps a good flash programmer can work that feature into a custom Music app.

Personally, if you're trying to make music sound 'natural' (i.e. not super-phat brain mashing bass and commuter irritating treble) then the idea of different EQ settings for different kinds of music is odd. With a decent pair of headphones you should be able to find one EQ setting that makes all your music sound good, and hopefully close to what the artist intended... just my opinion!!
