Charged it and applied 1.25.

So Far I like it alot. I'm a Cowon Junkie and have Owned the A2 (Currently Not working) the A3 and the S9. I wanted something similar to the A3 but sans the HD, the O2 is the 32gb Model and I have a 16gb card ready to go. So far the screen , while lower rez, is still pretty bright and clear. I'm wondering where abouts you all keep the setting , I think by default its on 5, I've turned i down to 4. The screens feel a bit snappier with 1.25, the only thing I'd like to see added is the ability to use the EQ enhancements on vids, the sound with vids on the S9 is so much nicer, I can't see how this could be that much of an issue to add, I'm sure it was left off to get the 8hour rating on the battery, but give me the choice Cowon, if I want to drain the battery faster, leave that to me....

Otherwise I'm pretty happy with the o2.

yeah its better to enjoy 1 movie with great sound quality over 4 without on a single charge, if one so desires. i think cowon should give us that choice

It's odd though. Cowon could still have reported the 8 hours of video if they'd implemented the sound enhancements, just put it in the fine print that none of those other goodies were turned on.

This is pretty common practice in a wide variety of industries (automobile fuel economy comes to mind), I think most people would have had no problems with them making this claim.

Congratulations, I just got my O2 last week and Im loving playing movies and listening to mp3's on it. You may want to update your firmware when you get a chance.

How can you get the o2 to recognize track order. I know it foes not look at tags, but I thought it would look at a track number in the filename but it does not seem to be doing so.

Scarpad, how do you compare the A3 screen res (800x480) vs O2 screen res (480x272)?
Is there a noticeable difference?

It only looks at track number if it is at the starting of the filename and if it goes above 9 it will mess them up. For example if there are 12 it will play them in this order: 1, 10, ,11, 12, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. A good way to fix it is to add a 0 in front of all the two digit track numbers. So in the above example 010, 011, 012 would replace 10, 11, 12 and then the O2 would play that nicely in order.

I hope that is helpful?

Yes there is a slight difference (the A3 is better) but you will only notice if you are looking for the difference. In normal use I hardly notice any difference.....in fact the O2 sometimes seems better (with anime especially) cos the screen is 'that much' larger.

Yes the A3 has a slightly nicer screen, if you encode your vids at a higher bitrate you'll notice a sharper image, you'll have to weigh that slightly sharper image to a Hard Drive vs Flash and a bit more weight. And of course its a bit more money.

if you let iTunes manage your whole library on your computer, it'll organize your entire library beautifully by artist and albums. AND the track numbers will also be nicely in order, similar to how ludd explained:

Well, you could also use the JetAudio software to do the same thing.

iPod=blech.

The whole reason I did not buy an iPod was for that specific reason, that I didn't have to use their crummy software.

Renumber them yourselves. I'll have to look at maybe the dates being the sort order in the player...?
