My S9 chokes when using a BT headset, the interface performace is noticabley hit especially when playing video. Its less of a problem when playing lower res/bitrate video, but its still there even when playing lossey MP3s.

Is it my S9 (16gb/2.09 fw) or are others getting the same thing?

It isnt a deal breaker, just a bit of UI lag but its a pretty big dissapointment considering the dual core 500mhz cpu in this thing.

Cowon should implement BT bitrate control in future FW, like on the Q5. i dont mind low bitrate wathing tv progs if it fixes UI response.

ofcouse just making the damn thing perform properly would be awesome.

UI Performance with BT steaming is pretty horrid - though sound quality is great - probably for the same reason. It escapes me why there is such a high cpu usage ... it maybe flash ui related.

That blows. Its my single biggest complaint with the S9.
That and just a couple of bizzare UI design decisions hold it back from perfection for me.

I really hope they fix this performance issue though.

It might be due to the cowon having to compress the audio data on the fly, I dont think bluetooth can support high bandwidth music streaming.

Im sure there could be some changes that could be made, but nothing significant.

That is why I am so torn about that BT 'head set'. Clearly for walking around it is a bit weird, but for what I want/need it might be good.

I have my motorcycle helmet wired for sound and used the wired remote on the x5 to control music play. Now with this BT remote, I can attach my helmet to the BT devise, and control the player.

I am concerned about the audio quality. While it doesn't need to be super, I need it to be good. But if we are saying that while the UI control is shit, the sound is good, this might work? Is the 'sound' ok? Anyone used the Cowon BT remote? Yeah I know it looks werid, but for my need it might be good.

2.09 sounds excellent to me - superior to P2's and Sony Ericsson phone. 2.10 seems worse to me but tolerable.

As far as data compression - P2 could play BT and there was no discernible difference in the UI performance, and S9 is supposed to have better CPU.

I'm on 2.10, and at this moment listening to music via bluetooth. The S9's UI seems just as snappy now as with bluetooth turned off. Would someone list an example of what appeared to slow down?
