Quick work to make parts of the pack new FW compatible.

What is functional:

Multiple wallpaper mode - including assigning a custom wallpaper to the Widget menu. Wallpaper loading appears to be a little slower on startup, not sure why yet, and wallpaper Fader is not optimized. I am not sure why this version responds differently. Single wallpaper mode (or none) reverts to Cowon's default.
All system settings including auto-play and auto-resume.
User setting button and the BT toggle in menu1/2
Play controls in menu1/2, title change and title color, and display of current song.
Removal of icon labels
Change of icon drop rate.
All browser settings (brackets, colors, etc).
Hide of hourglass in picture mode.
Starting picture with overlay off by default.
Fixed bug preventing hiding of overlay by touch in the slideshow (I assume Cowon hasn't finished it yet).
If overlay is hidden in picture viewer, starting the slideshow will also have overlay hidden.
Wallpaper and blender alpha assignments in Menu1/2 and Browser only (the rest later).
Enabled mainmenu3 button at the bottom of menu1/2.

If you preserved your old .SOL files, the system will pick up and apply your settings.

Update 1:

All functionality from UCI Pack 2.97 (including Theme Tracker) is converted except Music settings.
4th line added to the Theme Tracker - launched from the Widget menu. Thus 4_music.swf will start when Music is launched from the Widgets.
Fade / Blend functionality added to Radio/Record as well. Note that if you're using Cowon's wallpaper mode (None or Single in User Settings), you will not get the Fade, but Wallpaper Blender will still operate.
Weird colored lines added to the User Settings screen to liven it up a bit ... something I found on the net. Could be distracting ...

Awesome, can't wait till 3.0 comes out. :D

Strange...the files I had before(yours) worked fine, and your new ones for the beta firmware are messed up, reverting to your last version.

Ugh freezes when I keep trying to open a picture, reverted back to 2.09...

I have not experienced any problems with this version; however, setting the picture to be a background is a little slower than before using either the singe setting or the per screen setting.

Thanks for the update Claw. Man, that was fast! [thumbsup]

You should have named this v3.0 :D

Great work Claw! I am going to wait for the official FW though before I start adding stuff.

In single setting you're using Cowon's own method for Wallpaper store. What I did in previous version was to just write down the path to the file and store it in the sol file. That was nearly instant. At the same time I would send a signal to the launcher to initiate load of that wallpaper so its available as soon as you leave picture screen.

Cowon developers followed a different approach - they added a new fscommand in the firmware to actually take a snapshot of the wallpaper and save it as a separate file. And that's why there is greater delay (my 'Single' or 'None' setting doesn't do anything - it just turns off my modifications - allowing S9 original code to work). I am not sure why in Per Screen mode the wallpaper is slower - I noticed it myself but not sure why yet - the actual code is exactly the same as the old version.

Hey Claw! I have some questions!
-Where do i put the files?
- Is this just a patch? So I'm supposed to download the 2,90 theme and then update to all the patches including this?
-How do I update from a patch? Do I replace the old files?

Thanks!:)

If you're having wallpaper assignment issues, download this updated version of the launcher:
http://www.shapeofcolor.com/cowon/wa...1_fw_vX.10.zip (http://www.shapeofcolor.com/cowon/wallpaper_ui_patch_v2.951_fw_vX.10.zip)

Delete the wallpaperset.sol file just in case -it may be corrupted.
There seems to be a corruption issue with the sol file of some kind. I also recompiled the launcher just in case.

Having an issue with swipe up/down which I set to volume up/down. seems to not work. I have deleted all my files in the SOL folder as well as re-copy the UI to the root-->system-->flash UI folder. I think I got it to work once but lost it due to messing with other UCI's. I deleted all other UI's and I only have your UI now.

This version (for x.10 firmware) does not yet include music.swf - did you use the one from the other pack?

ah that must be it, I had your UI as well as a someone's music.swf that enlarged the cover art but then I deleted everything and only reloaded your UI. Thanks Claw![thumbsup] Still learning, just got my s9 yesterday....

Update: Just loaded your music.swf and now it works. Thanks again.

sorry it's me again. having a problem with wallpapers now. for some reason all I get is a black screen when I set the wallpaper with the "per screen" setting. I have re-reloaded the UI and deleted all of my .sol files as well as download the latest launcher.swf but still having issues. When I set it to "single" or "none" I get wallpaper but it's managed by Cowon and applies the same wallpaper to every screen.

Open wallpaperset.sol file with a notepad or another text viewer ... do you see anything there (ignoring some non-printable garbage) referring to wallpaperName_15 (or another number) ? You should also see filename of one of your wallpapers. And if you like, download the original pack and put its picture.swf in (backing up the old one) and reassign one of the wallpapers (do it one at a time) and see if it works.

Unfortunately I left the USB cable at work today so I can't mount my S9 to upload my own swf's ...

Also, make sure that you're opening the picture browser in folder mode ...

This is the output of my wallpaperset.sol file

¿ TCSO wallpaperset wallpaperName_11 \Pictures\crying.jpg xscale_11 @Y yscale_11 @Y x_11 y_11

I will try doing the other things you suggested.

thanks

Update: It works! I had to open the picture browser in folder mode.

thanks again.

Excellent.
Just to explain how this mess works - I have to record exact location of the wallpaper in the .sol file so it can be preloaded at startup. To do that I scan entire path of the wallpaper all the way back until I hit 'virtual' folders. When I do I stop. The problem is - unless you're using Folder mode to access pictures, all subfolders are collapsed into a 'virtual' folder - and the path information is lost (so it appears that every file resides directly under pictures). Its annoying, but I haven't found any way out of it as Cowon does not provide path info in the file.

Hi! Well I've been having some trouble with some of the options. I would be grateful for your help!
First. I've tried to change so that I can higher the volume by swiping, But I didn't get that to work.
I also tried to use the option "hide blank album art", but that didn't seem to work either.
Oh, yeah, almost forgot, should I be able to manipulate my other themes with the user settings? Tried, but with no result.
Btw, what does "show widget icon"? I tried it but didn't see any change.

Anyways, apart from me not being able to figure it out, great UI!
Thank you!:)

I had the same problem with swipe up/down for volume up/down. Turns out I didn't have a music.swf file. Download Claw's UI 2.95 and ONLY copy over the music.swf file to your system -->Flash UI folder

having an issue with the radio. For some reason when I select radio and then I back out to the main menu it stops the radio. Is there a setting that prevents this from happening? I have two other themes loaded but they keep playing the radio when I back out to the main menu. really strange. Any insight Claw?

my setup:

mainmenu1 = Claw's UI
mainmenu2 = CurveS
mainmenu3 - ?uzzle

Thanks

the reason is because calw enabled the ability to control MUSIC using hardware buttons in the main menu, as a result, the main menu acts kind of the music screen

the other main menus on the other hand doesnt let you use hardware buttons in the main menu except maybe volume (but that applies to both music and radio) so you can listen to radio in the main menu
