View Full Version : Which Headphones to Buy?
I ordered my s9 a couple of days ago for a variety of reasons, SQ/VQ, OGG, linux compatible, battery life, etc. and I now want to equip it with some headphones to really bring out its SQ. Up to now I've had some cheap (20-30Euro) earbuds which have served me well on my nano but from what i have heard, cheap headphones don't produce good SQ with the S9. So, I want to replace them with better (but not overdone) headphones and I was hoping you could help me. I'm no audiophile so I have a pretty low budget (prefferably under $50-60). I like to listen to all sorts of music like Dance, Rock, Pop, ocasionally classical ... I like earbuds because they are noise cancelling and comfortable. So far i have looked at the white Shure SLC3s from guitarcenter.com for $70 because they are such an amazing deal, but I was wondering if any of you have had experience with them and if they are worth buying. Thanks for your help [thumbsup]
I'd try the v-moda bass-freq. They've courted me on a fantastic tryst for 3 years running despite my having "better" 'phones. I still "play" with them.
Here's the skinny: Radio Shack and Amazon usually have them on sale, they're very well made for the price and deliver the best bang for the buck.
They go from the BASSment at 8Hz up to the Celing at 22kHz, and have that diamond sharp clarity in the highs that is appreciable to any lover of "High Definition" sound, aka highs that don't sound mushy, buttery, or "rolled off".
I broke a pair on accident once and looked inside and there's a GOB of copper, just OODLES of copper coiled up in these little marvels. They generate BASS.
When I miss the Club days or being a Speaker Whore, I grab my bass freqs.
Enjoy and la appetit!
i'd go for what you've already got planned, shure is a good company for headphones, though i may be predijuced cause i own some shures... :)

They were about $40.00 last month, and they're actually the Ultimate Ears Super.F1 3 Studio earphones.
