Well one way i found passes the time real well is when you have to RMA your o2 for a new one cuz the volume button broke from the inside thanks to loose parts... no biggie, but hey, what else ya got? (nothing negative like selling either and to those who did sell, you're gonna want to buy your o2 back in time for the next update cuz it'll be huge)
we'll see about it being huge (though im not saying it wont be, we just dont know). They probably have their hands busy with the S9 and D2+...

which might turn out to be a good thing because stuff from the D2 and S9 that people want, can be put into the next firmware.

Hello O2 owners, we(S9 owners) are also waiting for new FW... I think the delay is because they are busy with the O2 FW;).
And i pass the time till the next FW by throwing a ball against the wall.... 12.674... 12.675.. 12.676..
maybe they just gave up on us
maybe they just gave up on us
...said every Cowon customer, ever. I think this is the usual way they go about it. They are masters of the tease.
I'm passing the time by listening to music on my O2 and fiddling with my new E5.

maybe watch the watchmen motion comic?

Really nice![yes]
For some full frontal,,,that would be real nice on IMAX. And thats all i will say about that.
Playing some Call of Duty on PS3, work out with clip, and relax with the soothing sounds from my o2. The updates will come.....patience........patience.
I'm planning to open it, i'm so curious...maybe i'll find the new firmware hidden inside and waiting to be discovered[blink]. Just joking...Really now, i'm enjoing it as is, and hoping that they will bring out the best of it with the new fw release.
yes...honestly, the current firmware is fine...i would just like to see a play/pause option...maybe like dkft suggested in the first place...press volume down and up together
oh and .mkv support, that would be nice too...
Why not the large ghosted play/pause and FF buttons on the screen when you are playing audio and video files? This I already thought was on the player, but was surprised to see was not.
These would be awesome, and could really make it easier to operate the player blindly.
Hopin', and wishin'...

Cool. I check that firmware link on cowon global every day like a little kid checking the mail for a new letter from his Korean pen-pal.
super cool! I hope something good comes out!!! [thumbsup]
whether or not the firmware fixes stuff, I am pretty psyched cos I'm currently delving deeply into the O2 SDK seeing what I can do.[cool]

Seriously, I'm pretty sure whoever you are you'll be able to find someone who can appreciate that talent.

That doesn't take nearly enough time to learn.[rolleyes] First you slit the top with a toenail, dig in and grasp between your toes each side in succession and pull while bracing the banana with the other foot, so easy even a monkey could do it.;)
Human feet have devolved quite a bit over the past few millennia so the banana will end up quite mangled....but definitely peeled:D
It doesn't look like the firmware is anywhere close to being released so something a bit more time-consuming should be recommended.[rofl]
Learn to peel it with your tongue and lips, but no teeth? :)

Once I saw "toenail" I knew this was going to be one of those times when I'd just have an apple.

yeesss...much better....no digits or hard stuff to help. it IS possible though: compress it with your lips and tongue until it bursts and then squeeze out all the insides through the hole.[rolleyes] That is cheating a bit cos squashing ain't peeling.[unsure]
K, that is a very good way to pass the time[yes]
Oh wow, I seemed to have stumbled upon a wonderful thread about how to peel bananas. Here I was looking for conversations about the cowon o2 and I find this useful guide on methods for peeling bananas. I feel that my life is now complete; thank you everyone.
Now if only I had a banana to peel....
:D My, my, my. How we digress... :D
Yes, I'm watching movies to pass the time. Audio is always good. I love the latest update with the better quality album art display.
Has anyone had difficulties displaying album art for FLAC titiles? [confused] I seem to have not been able to see them.
yes, but only embedded ones....just throw your album art picture in the album folder and it will display...embedded will not
My embedded album art displays on every single one of my audio files. Try a Media Monkey or Media Player sync.
[EDIT]: So I was bored and played around for a few minutes taking screenshots which I would like to share.
Sorry for double posting but I took some screenshots while i was bored and wanted to share them....
It's mostly just how various wallpapers look. There are more in the post above.
They are actually very good quality pngs but uploading them onto the forum turned them low res and crappy.......sorry, If anyone wants to see them at original good resolution I can upload them onto imageshack or something.
As you can see black walls don't always work but certain shades of black contrast sufficiently with the gray to be used in wallpapers.

I use that third one.. It is byfar my favorite cuz you can see the text and the coolness factor is at a very high level at the same time.
