Has anyone got the Noreve case yet? I'm going to get one but I was just wondering what it's like, considering (being Noreve) it's pretty expensive.

Yeah, there is a thread about it on Abi I think. I dont believe it has a cut out for the volume or track change buttons on the top, unfortunately that is a deal breaker for me. Besides, the official cowon one looks better to me anyhow.

Edit: there is a cutout for the volume buttons but not the track change. Looks like you have to remove from case to hook to the cpu (probably a good idea anyhow). There are user pics on Abi of it, it looks good, but of course isnt cheap.

That clear plastic back case cowon sells is pretty good IMO. I like it a lot. (for a piece of plastic)

Hey Matt Mach,

I just recently got this case. As with all NoReve cases the quality is excellent. The case includes an adapter for a belt clip which can be installed and doesn't actually have to be used, according to my experience anyway.

With regards to complains I would say the no cutout for the back/forward | FF/RW buttons is a minus BUT once you fit the device properly in the case it is still very easy to switch tracks. You simply press down on the area where the FF/RW buttons are and it works very well.

Another "minus", which I believe is becoming a plus, is that you have to take the player out of the case to be able to connect it to your computer. If you are constantly adding and removing data on your S9 this may be a problem but if you only plug your device in to charge every few days it's actually not too cumbersome.

So far my impression is that I would give the case a 8 out of ten. Excellent build quality with just a few nuances. The cons are, of course, price and the need to remove the player to charge/add data.

If you have any more questions about the case let me know and I'll check it ou for you.

I bought the Cowon case. Works fine enough space for all buttons and usb.

I ended up saving a few pennies after my S9 purchase and went with the silicone case off ebay after hearing about the positive results other people had. It totaled around $14.00 shipped
