From Prison Break

From Dr house

Do you see the PIXELS [shocked][shocked][shocked] ?

This is with bright scenes:

It's WONDERFULL [excited]

This is pictures from the S9 capture software, so it's in 480x272:
http://images0.hiboox.com/images/0809/168157a722e1fcd30f31c64959ded73e.jpg (http://www.hiboox.fr/go/images/informatique/house-s04e15-french-hdtv-xvid-avi-00-29-26,168157a722e1fcd30f31c64959ded73e.jpg.html)

http://images1.hiboox.com/images/0809/68c1e54d6d84f2033c762f26733fdaa6.jpg (http://www.hiboox.fr/go/images/informatique/prison-break-402-v2-vostf-by-juanito-avi-00-00-10,68c1e54d6d84f2033c762f26733fdaa6.jpg.html)

So it can't be my divx, right ?

If you want more, this is screens shot from my computer with VLC with the native video:
http://images2.hiboox.com/images/0809/fbbe1cf50276b2d0d11bcb65b201a5f9.png (http://www.hiboox.fr/go/images/informatique/vlcsnap-4044091,fbbe1cf50276b2d0d11bcb65b201a5f9.png.html)

As you can see my divx in dark scenes are good, so it's come from my Cowon S9, not the screen but i think the processor or the video software of my S9 ?

Also if you can give the same episode of prison break or house to me or give the link i will test i for my self. I watched 3 seassons of supernatural on the S9 alot of dark scenes....

I used VirtualDub to cut a Prison Break episode, to show you my problem:

Hello,

Here is how it went. I had no problems playing the video on my S9. No fluctuations/discolorations or grainy screen build up. I use Fw 2.09 brightness level 2 and theme nova 4.0. Maybe you should reinstall Fw on your S9. Or when i look at the info the S9 gives and what i use. I see: 624x352 and 48 KHz i only use 44.1 KHz (after conversion).

He did not convert it in the first place so "again"---> scrapped;)

But you should try the cowon 'convert video' from the cd. Just use the normal O2 settings (default).

I think that your S9 is not working properly. What the problem is i don't know. Does it always show the black so bad or is it just sometimes or when you don't convert the video? Did you try new FW? Did it always show black so bad or after some FW upgrade? Think when you tried everything, you should go back to the store or contact after sales on this one.

No in ALL my movies

or when you don't convert the video?

I never convert

Did you try new FW?

Yes the korean one, but same thing.

Did it always show black so bad or after some FW upgrade?

Always

Think when you tried everything, you should go back to the store or contact after sales on this one.

I bought it from an English web store ( to expensive in France).

So the store or the cowon after sales ?

I think because your S9 was faulty from the start you could try to contact the webshop that they may say you can sent it back to them(would be the right thing for them to do). I bought mine from a cowon dealer ( www.mp3spelers.nl (http://www.mp3spelers.nl) ) they do repairs also and can change players when they are defective. When they refuse(webshop), you have to walk the path of cowon after sales. But think a new S9 should be what your aiming for. Good luck and hoop that it will all work out for you.

Advanced mp3 player-->
What makes us different from the rest?

Quite simply- service. We treat each customer as we would like to be treated ourselves; quickly, efficiently and in a professional manner. We do not employ a 'press one for sales, press one for customer service etc' frustrating telephone management system; phone us or email us and you'll get a response immediately from a highly trained advisor. Our staff are trained digital audio enthusiasts (who use MP3 players on a daily basis), if they don't know the answer to your question they'll make it their job to find it for you! You don't need to take our word for it either, check out the "Customer Comments" section of our website or consult with users of our "Forum"; one of the most popular MP3 player forums in the UK.

I think when you contact them they will take the S9 back and send you an other (hopefully a properly working) one. They seem to advertise service as what separates them from the other webstores.;)
