Way to factory reset?

Is there a way to reset the S9 completely back to original? When I try to play music or videos I get a green pointing arrow in the top left hand corner of the play screen, pointing to the list symbol. When I touch the list symbol I get a list in Korean and selecting one of these says invalid file. This happens even when I have no music or video files on the player. I figure one of the system files is corrupt but upgrading the firmware has no effect. Any help would be appreciated.


Update : Changed to MTP mode and formatted in Windows Media Player. All good now.

argh, seems like i've got the same problem. i've even tried deleting everything in the entire system folder and reinstalling firmware. no joy. just lots of korean characters and freezing when i navigate. i've had no problems until now, but yesterday plugged my s9 into a friend's powerbook to copy a file and somewhere along the line something's got screwed up.

'scuse my ignorance but are you saying you formatted your s9 completely?
anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions?

update: just seen this (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=24873) thread... formatted my s9 and everything seems to be fine now. phew!
