I got a chance to test COWON S9 lately and make a short preview and introduction of it few days back. I've uploaded those clips on youtube and here is a links.

I think other members will upload various Cowon S9 clips soon or later. Meanwhile, this may help you to make a decision to purchase it.

Please noted that mine is testing sample with testing firmware so, actual COWON S9 which you will get it from stores will be better than mine.

Nitpickin' dept: Is it just me or is the UI a bit sluggish... I mean in some places, the OP had to tap multiple times... also the ITunes like Cover Art merry go round?

Nice videos though. Definite winner for its price.

I'm really interested in how you browse stuff on the S9. Please tell me it is similar to my beloved X5 with folders. Any chance of some pictures or a video of folder browsing? Also, what about playing an entire folder of content like the X5 could do.. that is my most desired feature. Thanks!

If the d2 and most other cowon products are any judge, yes it will have folder browse. That is the whole reason I went the cowon route in the first place, so if a player this good was locked into tag browsing, we would all be upset.

Personally, I'm more worried about d2-esque file limits and m3u support. Although I never missed m3u playlists in the d2, and I never will, it would be nice to have. However, the d2 (and presumably the s9) plays the entire contents of a folder, so you could replace playlists with folders if you have the room to spare. That's what I do.

No I don't read Korean...lol....We Americans only know one language....lol...unfortunately..well most of us anyway.

But the case package says S9 on it...

And I think you can purchase it separately on the Cowon-germany site.

the point of the video was to show the S9's new "scratch- resistant screen" which in the video shows that even a knife cant scratch it.
