Volume won't stop lowering

Hey there, been lurking for several years on the forum and now have a problem with my X5. When using the original firmware, my volume keeps dropping even though I don't touch the joystick. I installed rockbox and dualboot and don't have this volume issue. I'd still like to use the original firmware from time to time and was wondering if anyone knows a fix for this?

I have read accounts by users that Rockbox sometimes corrects problems as you described. My guess is the joystick is starting to fail; not uncommon on this player. It may be that Rockbox is 'less sensitive' to the movements of the joystick. I do not think this is a software issue. The only fix would be to send your player to Cowon for evaluation.
