Hi, this is my first post here...
As many, I lurked around feeling the pulse for the different players on offer before pulling the trigger - The D2 came out the winner :D
After a couple of weeks using it, I'm pretty happy with my purchase overall. Funny how some of the cons that are consistently pointed out to this gadget aren't a con at all to me: The UI not being perfect is pretty straight forward and I can do all my stuff with a single hand; the size is about good enough also since I can pocket it wearing my suit and it doesn't ruin the cut.
Now for the puzzling stuff to me:
- How can I delete a file from the D2 itself?
- Why when I pause a track and later I want to resume playback (after it goes into sleep mode) the music track doesn't start from where I paused it, starting from the beginning instead?
I have a strong audiophile background so I wasn't expecting too much out of this baby. With the HD600 it struggles a bit, but I wasn't expecting miracles. I find the D2 sound signature tending for the warm darker side of things (SQ flat and no gimmincks), so with the 600 you get a great smooth sound, spacious as can be with a pair of cans. But I use this on the go so I need a more exciting type of sound reproduction. Currently on a pair of CX300, I don't too much of quality with all the bass all over the place. It can be somewhat fixed with EQ but I'll need a lot more. I have narrowed it down to a couple of IEMs but I need a bit of more info before I bother you lot with this.
