file preferences

ok, so not really a trouble or problem, but does anyone know how to adjust the registry or settings so i can automatically run a type of file with a particular program? i have a pic viewer i like better than the q5w one, but if i double click on a jpg, it automatically opens the cowon menu

If I understand your question correctly, you should be able to simply right-click a jpg, choose "Open With" -> "Choose Default Program...".

Have you actually tried this on your Q5W? There is no "Open With" in Windows CE 5.0 Pro.

I'm actually a D2 guy (no experience with the Q5), but stumbled across your thread - sounded like you were trying to change file preferences in Windows. [wink]

I use one of the programmes I found on here GD Finder I think it was, if you hold your pen down on the touchsreen on the file you want to open it gives you the option of "open with" and tick the box that sais always open with this program :) upgrade your F/W though and it resets it all so you have to set it all up again :(
