I apologize for the very rudimentary question. What is the mechanism to create playlists using Windows Media Player? Will the iAudio recognize this playlist if I copy it onto the player?

I'm trying to listen to some audiobooks I donwloaded, but each book is in multiple files. When I synchronize them onto the player, they are placed and played in random fashion. Any suggestions on how to specify the order in which they are played?

Thanks!

Check that your player is set to play in file name order, not in last download order. If you're using Windows Media Files you can edit the properties of the file (like an mp3 tag) to include a track number. Failing that rename the files 01 file, 02 file, 03 file etc...

I think. Maybe. I'll go and check.

Were these OverDrive books? Those appear to download to the player in random order, which concerned me when I saw them going out that way; however, they end up in sequence when I go to listen. I suspect that you need to set your i5 to list files alphabetically. Your other option might be to transfer the files one-at-a-time from Windows Media rather than batching the entire book? I tend to send Part 1 first to see if I like the book. Unless one is going on a trip, the rest can be downloaded later.

I'm leery of re-tagging library downloads as that might mess up the licensing need to open the files as a valid borrower.
