Bad position of the picture while video-recording

I noticed that when I record from a VCR or a DVD player through the "AV in" (red yellow white) cable, that :

- on 4/3 picture the video records without the lower part of the screen (ie something like 5 mm (on a A3 screen scale) misses but the top is in right position.

- on 16/9 dvd or videotape (with "black cinemascope stripes"), the video records with a bad position => 5 millimeters too low on the A3 screen, which means I only get the top of the letters of the-sub titles at the bottom and don't have the lower part of the video...and get a 5mm of "nothing" at the top of the screen...

Could someone have a try to help me with this ? thx

I'm assuming you've connected the 3 colored pins and have configured "Composite" as the setting in Setup > Record.

I tried recording from the TV twice and it went well.. Didn't try the DVD Player output... will let you know as soon as I get some time to try it...

composite, yes...

actually it looks ok at first, but when you check on the tv and on the lcd at the same time you see it misses the lower part. (for 16/9 it's obvious as the picture is not in the middle)
