View Full Version : Player won't turn on
I'm having problems with my Cowon A3 where no matter how many times I push the power button, it never turns on.
Is it because I accidently left it connected to the PC via USB for too long? If not, why is is that no matter how many times I press the power button, it never turns on?
If you see the LCD turn on briefly with a 'Hold icon', you must be having the unit in Hold state
At the bottom of the player, below the LCD, move the slider to extreme left (LCD position) and now press the Power button.
Else connect the power adapter and try.. If it still doesn't then things may be serious..
I'm having the same problem with my player. Heres some info:
I had it connected to my computer for ~1hr 30mins minutes, I kinda forgot about it.
It had about 50% battery left before I connected it to the PC. When I came back, the player would not turn on. I tried the reset button a few times.
When I slide the hold switch to "hold" and try to charge it from the USB, the red light does not come on.
I havent tried the wall charger yet (I will go get it tomorrow and give it a try). If my A3 is dead, what is the procedure to get it repaired, replaced, or whatever?
Could it be WSOD ?
if you run the battery all the way down (like you probably did leaving in on USB for so long), it takes a bit for it to charge to the point that it'll actually turn on. I would strongly suggest using the wall charger and just leave it on the charger overnight.
If you already did that, sorry. IDK what else other than it died and you should RMA.
