Hi, just got my D2 in the mail today and I love it. After some frustrations with the album art (my fault) and tags not messed up on the D2, I finally got it the way I want it.

Now I have a weird problem. All my tags are correct, did them all with Media Monkey. All my album art works and everything. Everything works, but when I open up Music List, browsing by tags doesn't work. It only shows one artist and that is 311. Only have their Greatest Hits album and it only shows that. 311 and that is it. Now when I browse with folders, I can see everything. Everything internal and everything on my SDHC card. It isn't a big deal but is a little annoying since I only have one genre on my SDHC card and it's a little annoying have to back out of the folders and go into the internal memory to see everything else.

Any solutions?

Try looking at your tags using Mp3tag (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/) and see what they look like.

Mp3tag is a good program and it is free.

I always do a final check of my tags using Mp3tag.

Yup, everything is fine. Weird thing is, when I plug in my SDHC card, that's when it stopped reading all the tags.

I took out the SDHC card, tags were messed up, turn it off and on, plugged it in, tags were messed up again, turn it off and on again and everything is fine now [confused]

This has happened to me quite a few times today. All the songs are one name and i'll have to turn it off and on for it to go back to normal.

The same thing is happening to me. Basically if I want to do anything other than listen to songs on shuffle, the D2 is almost useless. At least you get occasional times when everything is ok. I don't even get that.

Sounds like the same problems I had.. this (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20828) worked for me, maybe some of it applies to you as well.

Well today I got tired of it... I could not see any music whatsoever, every track was blank and no tags were working what so ever. I turned it off and on about 6 times and nothing. So then I decided to downgrade (guess you can say upgrade too [laugh]) to FW 2.51. I had 2.54 on it before and it is working much better now. Everything works, everything is tagged correctly and even the New Music option in the Browser works. Even when I put in my SDHC card while the player is on, the tags are still fine. Much happier with my D2 now [biggrin]
