View Full Version : How to stop backlight with music?
I'm experiencing a significant problem. I want to listen to music on the run (when I go out), but I don't want to keep pulling it out of my pocket time and time again just to tap the power button to turn off the light. Is there a way to shut off the backlight so I can just toggle through the music without having to activate and deactivate it?
Any help is appreciated.
The backlight should be turning off automatically...if it isn't, check your settings.
I don't think it's possible.
As the player goes into power saving mode after (however long you set) a time.
And to skip tracks you have to bring it out of power save mode.
The only thing i could think of is maybe you can set "turn LCD off after XXX seconds" and maybe set XXX to 0. But i really don't think it's possible.
A better plan would be to just make a playlist, or delete the crappy music you skip :P
Thanks you guys. I don't really want to skip "crappy music" as much as I want to get to a song that I was thinking about or wanting to hear. It's like, when you're in the mood to listen to a certain kind of song and want to get there without having to pull the thing out of your pocket so people will see it and likely want to steal it.
I think it turns off the backlight after a while, but it's a pretty long while. I should set it to turn off earlier. I just hate having it turn on and then having to change the track. It's not a horrible problem, but it would be cool if Cowon could do something about it.
Thanks again for your suggestions, I'll see what I can do!
