I just opened up the record feature on jetaudio and all the selections are gone...now it just has recording for a mic...and you can't uncheck it.
I used to use the record "what you hear" to record streaming radio....but it's not there anymore.
Is this a feature that was removed from the 7 version? If so I might reinstall the 6 version.

Edit: it could be because I'm using a laptop and before a desktop??

those options are highly sound card (and sc driver) dependent.

try opening windows volume control
properties> select the "input" mixer device> see if there's anything other than "mic"

btw, Stereo Mix and "what you hear" is same thing.

Thank You Cvp, yeah after I wrote the thread I realized that it was a sound card issue...It didn't dawn on me right away. My desktop had a sound card with all kinds of stuff on it so there was a whole bunch of settings when I would open up the record feature. So when I opened it with the laptop I was shocked to only see 1, the mic.
But your post help me, because I went into the sound settings and seen the laptop had a "line in", so I used a cable with a 3.5mm jack on both ends and stuck one end in the "line out" (headphone out) and stuck the other end in the "line in". And that worked, I guess a cable needs to be stuck in the "line in" for it to show up in the record feature of Jet.
The sound quality wasn't that great on the recording but I would never use it to record music, I use it to record talk radio...[biggrin]

the ONLY reason (i can think of) why there's no "what you hear" is because your soundcard driver doesn't have this feature.

try updating it or contact the maker company and request it. may be they
will include it in the next driver update.
