Got an e-mail from Cowon Sweden today responding to my earlier enquiry about X5L-30.

A shipment will be leaving Korea Tomorrow, and they hope to have X5L-30 in stores Thursday. Won't do much good to me, as I didn't bear risking to do this coming week's Transatlantic without X5, and got me a X5 for some time ago, though.

Try http://www.iaudiocentral.se/product.asp?intProdID=62 . They will probably be among the first to have it in Sweden (they ship to Scandinavia).

..... Anakha, iaudiocentral.se accept payment by creditcard, which I think mmport does not.

The X5L is already available in the Netherlands (I've got mine already, wheee! :D) and they do ship to other countries as well --> http://mp3.mmport.nl/?doc=product&id=633, among others.

That just depends on the firmware. And you'll be replacing the firmware with version 2.07k immediately, I presume, so then you'll have the regular languages (English (default) and Korean).

I'd imagine Dutch and German are options also, plus one of the Chinese written languages.

Thanks "jazztime". No MMPort don't accept credit card but they do offer a free cradle.

Nope, no Dutch, no German, no Chinese.

Woah, woah, woah. Are you saying you bought and received an X5L from mmport? Then it's not a scam or a myth?

C'mon, Sparhawk, answer me!

Hehe, I actually ordered it from www.audiolounge.nl, but I don't know about their shipping policy abroad, that's why I put the mmport-link in (they have the same price (well, mmport is 5 cents cheaper... :P) and both offer the free cradle until May 31st). Mmport surely ships abroad, and I've seen it stated that they don't charge extra for that. With Audiolounge, I'm not sure, haven't checked.

So it's definitely no scam, I'm watching the Simpsons on the X5L 30 right now. :)

Where's my bloody credit card...

Anakha

They don't accept creditcard. Just money-transfer to their account for international orders.

Ah, same as mmport? Well I'll buy from the Audiolounge rather than mmport, now I've got evidence it'll actually arrive. :D

As said, I'm not actually sure audiolounge.nl ships abroad, and if they do I don't know how much they'd charge. In another thread people have discussed mmport.nl and mentioned they do ship abroad, with no extra costs. The audiolounge.nl website doesn't mention anything about shipping abroad, so you'd have to email them to ask about that: sales@audiolounge.nl

Edit: I transferred the money on Tuesday-evening, they must've received it on Wednesday, UPS delivered the package on Thursday, so they're fast. :)
Good luck!

Shipping is free/no extra from MMPort, both don't offer credit card and MMPort offer fast English friendly e-mail support (proven). I'm going with MMPort. Besides I asked them a straight forward question:

Do you have the X5L 30Gb in stock? and they said YES. I'll be ordering it Sunday after I've given PCIHO.com and Advanced MP3 Players a few more days.

Nope, no Dutch, no German, no Chinese.
What then?

I'm surprised it doesn't have German as it will be sold in Germany and I'd be surprised if they would like it in English.

As I mentioned in my post before the one you're quoting: English and Korean. It's the Korean version of the firmware (2.07-k), maybe other languages will be included in international versions, but those haven't been released yet. I didn't check available languages on the original firmware it came with (because the first thing I did was install the newest firmware), but currently, if you want to use the newest firmware, you'll have to go with either English or Korean.
