thx fellas. The big thing I'm finding is that the shots that make the screen look the best (like my second one) aren't so good when you have a screen full of id3 tag information displayed over it which is why I've been playing w/ more minimal ones (like my first one).

Turn off the status bar in settings. You'll get rid of everything on the top and bottom of the screen.

They are all stored on the X5. When in picture mode on the X5 you can click on an image file and set it as your wallpaper, no renaming.

Here is a tip. When editing photos in Photoshop, save it as a jpeg (of course) and under Format Options save it with Baseline Optimized. That way all the photos will show up on your X5. Using progressive for me anyway was unsuccessful.

It does resize images to fit the screen when using the image as the wallpaper. I recommend resizing your wallpapers with Photoshop or something similar, though, because it will load quicker (since it doesn't have to resize the image) and look better (photoshop does some extra blending to make scaled-down images look better). When in photo mode, you can also zoom in/out and pan around the larger images.

Using progressive for me anyway was unsuccessful.

Kyu, progressive doesn't work for anybody. It is stated in the X5 manual.

When I use a wallpaper everything looks a lot darker, then when I have it set to no wallpaper. Even when I change the contrasts and brightness, it still seems darker or more layered than w/o any wallpaper. Anyone else notice this?

These are the ones i use, and they are the only pictures i have on my X5. I dont bother to resize them because they just dont seem to look good when i do, plus the x5 does a fine job doing that itself. The last one is my favorite and the one i use the most.
