Welcome to the Cowon Community ^^
Yes a D2 2GB with a 16GB SDHC A-Data card will work fine as long as you use firmware 2.51/3.51. I have a D2 4GB + a 16GB SDHC A-Data card and it's working great with firmware 3.51.
cheers
and what about the movies?? up to which resolution can i watch them?

the D2 only plays videos in one resolution (320x240).
you will have to convert your videos to the right size.
I'd strongly recommend getting at least the 4Gb D2. It wont cost you much more.
Search the forum for the threads on file limitations and you'll understand why.
I just looked on newegg and you can get an 8Gb D2 with an 8Gb card and it'd cost you $245.
A 2Gb D2 with a 16Gb card would cost you $220 - barely any difference.
Yes you end up with 2Gb less space, but you can get a lot more files on your player and it also means that you'll always be able to get 6Gb more maximum space with the 8Gb player over the 2Gb one with any card.

Well I'm in the same boat here. I want the best value here, but I heard 16gb D2 are coming out? (rumor? possibly?) Can anybody confirm that?
I think that rumour was people misunderstanding D2 8GB + 8GB SDHC.

the D2 16GB is on it's way...
probably very expensive at first.

Amazon.com has it for 229 USD.

Shame you have to wipe out the memory for every firmware update

I read somewhere here that someone found a way that you can update your D2's firmware without wiping out your memory or removing your data. When I find the information again, I'll post the link here.
^That is when you skip folder 0 in the installationprocess. I don't know whether or not a D2 likes this though...
