Apologies for the basic question, but I have tried to record from my TV by connecting the supplied composite cable with no success...What am I doing wrong? Is it to do with my cable signal?
Many Thanks!

You will need to supply more info on exactly what your doing for us to know what your doing wrong.

Ok here goes.....I have a LCD TV with the usual 3 pin composite (red, white, yellow) pins. I also have cable tv fed through the cable companies set-top box. When I connect the composite cable from the TV to the A3 and hit record from the Video application and try playing back what I have just recorded the playback is blank i.e nothing seems to be recorded.
I hope this is enough info.
Thanks!

Well, are you connecting to the TV-OUT on your television - or is it an input, like "Line 1"? Also, are you even seeing video on your A3 before you hit Record?
I'd bet you're hooking the A3 up to an input, not an output; you should be seeing your cable show on the screen before you even hit the record button.
Your best bet is to hook the A3 directly to your cable box, and at the same time you have the coaxial cord running from the cable to TV. Do that and let us know what happens. You should see the same image on your TV as on your A3.
