does anybody know how the connector type of the comp-input is called? seems to be like the mini-usb but with a different shape? thanks

the slightly different shaped mini-USB port is the kind which is typically dedicated to USB-Host functionality. in the past, PMPs have used a normal looking mini-USB port for connecting with a PC, and this modified shape for connecting to a slave storage device (via USB-Host). the difference in shape is meant to prevent confusion. they both work with any USB cable that has a mini-USB tip on one end.

on the A3, the USB Host port doubles as the normal mini-USB port for connecting with a PC. they used the normal-looking mini-USB port for the video signal for the s-video/composite cable. kind of confusing, especially after using an A2 for the last couple of years...
