hi wadjus thx for the respond, yes firefox is still in the work for mobile firefox to be release after firefox 3 for desktop. currently there is no mobile ce device support for firefox but opera mobile and mini are deploy for mobile device. Opera said it support mips, amd chip, arms and lot of other mobile chips. I just hope someone with Q5w would try to install, run it and give a short feedback. I stilling waiting for the price to come down a bit before i buy my Q5w. Q5w+case+screen protector = over my buget atm right after the holiday :)

I tried opera for windows mobile 5.0, I know the q5w runs on CE 5.0;but, since I didn't find any Opera designed for CE, I said the heck with it. As you may guess, Opera doesn't work for Mobile 5. Unless you know some place to download it for Windows CE, I don't think there is a version for this device.

I tried to install "opera mobile," not mini. I saw absolutely no indication "mini" would work on a device like the Q5W when I read about it. I selected the "windows mobile 5.0" version of the "opera mobile." As I recall, there is a "mobile 6" version;but, I don't see why that would work either.

Windows Mobile and Windows CE are quite different, right? I heard there is a firefox version that we may use that is coming out rather soon. As of now, we're stuck with internet explorer (as far as I know). If you know of some browser for Windows CE 5.0, I'll be happy to try to install it. Cheers!

Ahhh this kills me! I decided to give it another go. I downloaded all versions of "Opera Mobile," one of them actually installed on the Q5W;but, after I tried to launch it, it says "Not a valid Windows CE Application." I've got the icon and everything except access to the program!

I don't know which version it was that installed. I tried the smartphone versions as well. Anyone have advice, a way to get this to work perhaps?

Ah, i See. o well hopefully firefox mobile would work when it comes out. thx for the effort ajm48786. maybe i should contact opera support staff and have then figure out what it need to be done for it to be compatible with q5w. After all opera pride themself to be the king of web browers for mobile device. i mean opera is installed for archos pmp why not q5w. It all have to do with Mips and ARM chip i quess and archos is ARM base.

O well :)

Opera Mobile is for cell phones and Opera Mini is for PDA's which is what the Q5W is so you need to install the Opera Mini version of Opera.

You are mistaken. Opera Mini is for phones. No doubt about it. When you download it, it even has an option to send the program to your phone.

Opera Mobile is what should work. It doesn't as of now.
