assisttance requested: theme and skins

hello,
im new to this site but have used its recorces befor
i have a cowon d2 FW: 3.53
this is my first time trying to edit the skins or themes and i have no idea what im doing. a detailed walkthrough would be appreciated.
all the files that i dl are in rar fromat. should i decompress them b4 putting them into my d2?

1 - CHANGE THE THEMES
When you open your .rar, you will find a file called D2N_rs. Just copy it at the root of the D2 (as for change the FW).
Then, unplug the player (the unit will turn off), and turn it on : the new theme will be displayed.

(The D2N_rs will replace the file given by the FW. If you want to return to the default theme, you have to put back the D2N_rs of your firmware .)

2 - WHEN YOU HAVE GOT A FLASH SKIN
If your theme has a flash skin, you will also find a .swf file (swf for flash format) in the .rar : the name of the file must be music.swf (if not, you have to rename it), then copy it into the system folder. Unplug the player, turn in on, and go to the music menu : you will see the flash skin played.

(Notice that you could do this step in the same time that the first one, for the D2N_rs file.)

You could use any flash skin compatible with your FW (the theme is not important).

If you want to desactivate the flash skin, go to the Settings Menu and you will be able to do it. You can also delete the music.swf file in the system folder.

Perhaps you said "edit" instead "change" a theme.

But if you want to make a theme, use my step by step to convert a theme.

If you want to change a picture from a theme:

- It must keep the same size.

- You must be care of alpha chanel, (in RVB utilities):
Black for invisible
White for visible
Grey for transparant.
