Hi I just got an Iaudio U2 and wanted a better set of earbuds.. Im looking for something in the 20 dollar area because im not sure how often i will use the mp3 player. The ones that came with the u2 are also a little big for me.

So far i found 4 that I was interested in and wanted some advice.

-Sennheiser MX400 ($10 + shipping)
-Panasonic RP-HV278K ($10)
-Koss KSC75
-Sony MDREX71SL (I know that these cost more and therefore should be better, but are they really that much better than these 2? I dont really want to spend the $30 )

Any other recommendations? I'd like to have a little more bass, because with the included headphones if my player is on Mach3mass or whatever it starts to rattle around level 29 (volume)

The Koss and the Sennheiser both get good reviews on head-fi.org.

I've got Sennheiser MX500 headphones and they're excellent. They've lasted years and still sound great. Not sure about how they differ to the MX400s though.

They're the same as the mx400s, just without that twiddly volume thing.
Um, the ksc35s are supposed to be better sounding than the 75s (but uglier).
Look for the audio-technica cm5s as well.

I'd reccomend the Sennheiser MX400 out of these (or MX500 if you want volume control on the cable as well). They have the best capabillity/price ratio IMHO.

The volume control on the MX500 is both a really useful feature and a major pain in the arse at the same time. Great when you need it... not so great when you accidentally kill the volume
