cowon`s new MP3 I-5 is succesion of i-4 ... so i find manything is same ...

but I-5 is unique and originality

anyway let`s check with pics

i-5`s the lower part...we can check to battery slot(left) USB slot(right) especially an edge is be the round ...you can find MIC! I5 support USB2.0 and used AAAbattery

i like the large display, but it seems to be made out of plastic(i really like the casing of the i4, as i have seen it in some shops). but if this plastic is like the one used for the imacs and ibooks, i'm fine with that. that stuff seems really durable, compared to some plastic flash players/usb sticks out there

well i think the design of the i5 is just amazing, and i thought the i4 looked good :P ! Forget the features this thing looks really hot!! It was the main one to catch my eye in the series of other new players they will release. I really like this one and definetaly wanna get it as soon as it comes out! :p really awesome stuff! Gonna make some measurements to see exactly how big it is, but 7cm doesnt seem to be that much! Whats the size on the u2 ? O_o

Its 10 mm wider than U2, but the g5 looks more thin in the depth. The g5 actually looks like a redesigned CW 300.(shape wise) The U2 seemed a design departure from their previous products, of course the g3 shares the joystick of the U2.

Now that I look at my U2, I think it is one of the more simply designed mp3 players (look wise that is). But, I have actually grown to love its looks- it looks like a cute little pack of gum with buttons!!

I am saying "cute" in a manly sense of course!!! lol. I mean I5!!!!!

Oh, I just wanted to comment on the finish of the g5. I had a jens of Sweden mp300, it looks like it has the same kind of clear over white lucite finish. It was very durable I just didn't like the sound as much as iaudio! And it is kinda ugly.

Nothing officially stated yet, but I suppose it to be around 15-20 hours. I can't imagine, they want to do step backward, as the iAudio4 already has 15 hours. On the other hand the used battery type AAA has of course its limitations in capacity.

on the first it is inside not same as in i4, fm module is diferent, memory module is diferent..........

Hmm, seems legit too, maybe it is a stolen mock-up? Why would Cowon give test models to certain people who later describe them as being broken? I don't think they can use some more negative publicity during the introduction of a new product:

when does the IA5 get released in the US?
Does it have a new chopste or the same?
Is the battery life increased compared to the IA4?
Is it basically the same as the IA4 just with newer looks, and USB 2.0?

Sorry to ask alot of questions, but these are some things I want to know to know before I buy one...

when does the IA5 get released in the US?
The iAudio i5 should be out soon in Korean. Then JetAudio should stock it for U.S. customers shortly thereafter. I would guess before the holiday season.

Same chipset as U2 (sigmatel 3520), this is a faster chipset than I4(sigmatel 3420) by 10 mhz a cycle.

Does the 10 Mhz per cycle make a huge difference? And I noticed that that chipset has better battery life, and uses USB 2.0 instead of 1.1. That is about the only differences....

I think that I am going to go with Iaudio, they look like they have alot of features, and look cool period... I used to think that Iriver was pretty cool, but i guess that hey seem pretty 'basic'. I have an iRock 860 256MB MP3/WMA player. It is an 'okay' player. It doesn't have too many features, but it plays and has about 30 hours of battery life...so that is a plus.

Does anybody have any pics of the I-5 that they could post, because the other ones that re posted do not work at all....

I e-mailed Iaudio, and they said that they have not decided the release date of the future iaudios. They said that they will possibly be around the holiday season...here is the e-mail:

We are expecting them to be released around Christmas season, but it is just an estimation.

The release date of the G3 is in january 2005 and this little baby will cost about 350 euros (bij mp3spelers.nl ;))
