dvds and the cowon a3

Hi all. I just ordered an a3 and I was wondering about some of the specs. Can I rip a dvd (using a program called dvd dycriptor) such that I end up with a .VOB file and play it on the a3? If I can, can I hook it up to a tv? Also what is the easiest way of getting a full 480p or 720p dvd playing on the a3? THANKS!!!

Good question.. for us mortals on a PMP.. I just ordered mine as well.. Will it playback and record HD?

I haven't seen a 720p DVD. Usually DVD resolution is limited to 720x480 or 720x576 (PAL). DVD Decrypter can remove macrovision protection so you can copy and play the VOB files directly on the A3. I don't own an A3, but the specs state the it'll support playback of VOB files. After copying the vob files to the A3 you can easily play the files on a TV using the video out cable.
