Hi all,
wouldn't it make sense to have
- bugs
and
- wishes(feature requests)
as sitcky posts/threads?

If yes, and eXity is willing to start these threads, I would suggest to only post one issue at a time and numbering the issues unambiguously, e.g.:

B001: bla bla
B002: bla bla
...

FR001: iD3-tag databasing/browsing ;)
Status: OPEN
FR002: Gapless...
Status: OPEN
FR003: FLAC encoding...
Status: SOLVED IN 2.04
FR004: Delete...
Status: OPEN
FR005: OTF playlist...
Status: OPEN

...

This would simplify referencing issues, be it bugs or featurerequests.

agreed fx3000se, we'd stop having to answer (some of) the same questions all the time...

...just bringing this question/idea back into discussion ;)

What do YOU think of having these two sticky threads?

good idea, but i'm not sure if there is enough discipline in a forum

good idea, but i'm not sure if there is enough discipline in a forum...well then it must be forced either by eXity(being the moderator) or a tbd deputy

sounds like a DDR style bureacracy - too much bookkeeping.

Anyway, you have to think about that this is a forum about a DAP, and there won't be really much to talk about. So I take it the average member is not hanging out here for any significant period of time, and any elaborate system to organize threads is wasted on the 99.99% newbies on the forum.

And as to enforcing... Too much of that crap just defeats the point of an internet forum, imho.

So true but what can't help but admit that it is agreat idea. Some one should just start and see how long it will last. Few days.....a week...maybe two.

sounds like a DDR style bureacracy - too much bookkeeping.being a swiss, which are known to be rather bureaucratic too ;), I would volunteer... The effort should not be that high, IMHO.

To be honest(see thread http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/viewtopic.php?id=1905) I would also appreciate if iAudio kept these lists for us ;)
Compiling these lists mainly serves iAudio, cause they no longer need to read through all the forums finding possible new bugs and features(*) which might make their products even better.

It was a TRY(two to be honest) and I shall not bring it "UP" again ;)

(*) "id3 databasing/browsing" being one of them, which really comes up a lot. Ain't it so eXity?

Yeah, the idea is great, and I don't want you to give up on it if you think it might work. Especially if you are willing to carry the load, which I thought would be the big problem.

Then it doesn't NEED to be enforced. Even if there is a place where everthing one needs to know about X5 is all in one place, I can still ask stupid questions on the board, right?

I don't know what the possibilities are when it comes to X5, but I suspect that with what is has to offer, it won't take too long until someone figures out a way to have xustom skins, to edit icons etc. It WOULD come handy to have all information in one place.

Or, maybe, if your ISP is like mine and offers unlimited bandwidth homepages, you could set up a site for that. In the long run, I think it would be easier to maintain and organize than a single sticky thread.

There is a delete feature on the X5.

not too much(at the moment) but it's kinda "kick off" ;)
Feel free to contribute!
@eXity: would "stick" a link to this sub-wiki?

Hey eXity you should add the X5 review to your signature. ;)
