whats that around us$680 for 60gb, available 12th December (mmm)

Yep, the dollar is worth sweet fuck all against the GBP. The US price will be about $400 for the 60gb model

Yep it's still overpriced even for british pockets, especially the 30gb.

But that is because the Cowon A3 is the most advanced PMP there is. Even my brother who works in the broadcasting industry can't wait to get his hands on one to see what it is capable of.

I've worked in the broadcasting industry and I'm less excited because of the price. Get the 60gb below £300 and then we're talking.

My advice would be to beg/ask nicely anyone travelling to Korea (or Japan, close enough) to buy one for you. 60GB A3 retails for about AUD500 (~200 quid) there, so along the way from Cowon Korea to the Uk someone is making a motza

I actulally bought the 605 160gb "Not impressed with the sound at all" the volume output via phone jack is so low and poor ,i mailed tech support on this issue ,to no response (believe me guys you'd hate this Total sh!t) ,you wouldnt believe.. I am sick of paying out for plug ins ,sick of archos creaming money out of me
..( I understand Archos may not be supporting HD on a capabable device untill the 606 ) ..lol

This week i am putting it up for sale on ebay with web plug in ,mini dock ,
this thing p ses me off day by day

I need better audio quality and better output and better codecs ,as soon as its sold i'll be pre ordering via advanced mp3

Well the most exciting element from an audio point of view is the FLAC recording. I'm not aware of which, if any, other consumer or professional products offer this. That could be worth the premium.
