I am in korea and just got it today!!! This dap rocks...the sound quality is amazing...i can hear things i have never heard before on my irivers...i have a slimx and a fp series...this thing killls them all...i can hear cymbols that i have never heard before...the video is playback is rather good...but to read subtitles i must say is going to be somewhat impossible. what program am i suppose to use to convert my vids to vids i can use on this thing...jetshell doesnt seem to have the option and i looked at the jetaudio manual and nothing is there...I am korean so i know how to read thats not a problem...
another issue
Can this day yam backlight be turned off during charging or sessions when it is linked into the computer...its kinda of annoying...
U can use JetAudio Vx to convert videos: it's in download on the korean site, so...
u have no problems!!!

I thought this was on the CD???
Will the software convert from DVD to AVI? Assuming you own the copyright of course.

PocketDivXEncoder
if you use that, it doesnt work on anything, the only program i have found to play thoose files are it and betaplayer for my pda. Maybe there is some setting im putting in wrong or they have a new version, i think mine is v 3.5

I bet if you ask the guy who writes PocketDivXEncoder he will add a template for the X5.
He's added one for the iRiver H3xx. Surely you can use the software that came on the CD?
You need jetAudio.
and you can turn the backlight off by just flicking up the power switch shortly.

Isn't it on the CD?
I think you need the full version, you can't just download it. It should be bundled with the player though.
I have movies at hi-res at 1.4 GB. Does JetAudio reduce the size significantly? If not, is there a FREEWARE program that can re-encode it for me? BTW, I use AutoGK and DVD Decrypter, PM me if you guys want links.
