does anyone know what the max power output over the usb otg is? or if its greater than 450ma.

450ma! God I hope not!
Many USB devices can pull up to 500mA. SD cards by themselvs draw ~200mA, not counting the card-reader. I'd like to be able to hook up a CF reader myself. Anybody know if the OTG port actually supplies any power?
Yup, the USB-OTG port supplies power. My M3 starts charging itself off my X5.

Can you try to use a flash card reader in the X5?

Can you turn it off so you can read other players without running out of battery?

Because even if the camera is not supported by the X5 one could use a card reader to put the photos on it...
