Hi guys my cowon a2 seems to be in deep trouble. I wrote the following message to tech-support a few minutes ago. Copy-Pasting it here........

--------------
My 5 month old Cowon A2, is acting strangely. I was watching a movie on it when the screen suddenly froze. So I switched the player off. But on pressing the power back on it did not respond. I tried to charge it but the red light did not come up either. Then as a last resort I put my ear to the back of the player and found that the Hard-Disk was still whirring. So it means the player is still on, but none of the keys/display is responding.
Is it possible for me to bring it back to life? How?
--------------
Can you guys please help me out? Also will using the reset button help?[confused][confused][help][help]

Thanks for reading.

Please Guys Help Me Out. I am not sure the A2 will start up again once the battery drains out.[shocked]

Did you try the reset button or holding the power button down for a long time (30 seconds tops)?

Also, please don't bounce a thread after under 24 hours. I understand you're distressed, but most people probably haven't even _seen_ your thread in so short a time.

I tried connecting the a2 to the computer, it was detected, so i backed up the harddisk. Then i was about to try a harddisk format, when i realised that i had never tried the reset button. So i pressed the reset button and the Hd stopped immediately. And then i tried power on and everything seems normal.

In the five months i have used the a2, i have never had to use the reset button. And I was not sure if it left the harddisk contents intact. Thats why i was wary of using it.

Ok Doniago, Thanx for your reply, and i will remember ur suggestion about bounce a thread, when posting in the future.[blush]
