Can't access a folder that I called 'DIRECTORY' in my X5L

I can't seem to be able to access a folder called 'DIRECTORY' on my X5L. I usually put all my songs in there. I tried to access it on my computer and got this:

Nope, but try all the obvious .

a) can you rename it? (Just in case 'directory' has acquired mystical meaning)

b) what does a chkdsk on the volume have to say? Maybe the disk is going bad. Try it without the /f switch first, and then maybe with it (to fix errors). You may need to run it more than once to get them all.

c) if all else fails, can you reformat the device?
