Browse HDD while listening song?

Can you browse the HDD while listening to a song? i.e. manually choose the next song if it's in a different directory? I know most mp3 CD players can't, they just stop and wait for the new selection and this really sucks...

I can't speak for the X5 directly, but scanning for another song while one is playing is certainly very easy to do on the M3, and I suspect the firmware is, in many ways (on the audio side, anyway), very similar between the two devices. In addition, you can build a "dynamic playlist", building the list from songs anywhere on your HDD, while a song is playing.
