windows doesnt recognize cowon d2! URGENT

I really need some stuff on my D2 before i leave my computer tomorrow... and all of a sudden i connect the D2 and windows doesnt respond... the player doesnt show the charging sign or anything... tried on other computers too... tried to reset.. doesnt work !!!

Try turning on the unit before plugging into the USB port. Also make sure your Settings->System->USB Connection is set to MSC.

It's the cable that was the problem! The cable I was using at home under XP and Linux was the cowon supplied mini-USB cable, and it didn't work properly anymore!

My old Cowon supplied G3 mini-USB cable DOES still work, and that was the one I had lying around at the office!

try to connect the usb cable directly into the rear usb port of ur pc (the motherboard usb),nt those on the front of the pc case,i had that prob once but never after since i use the rear usb port.hope this will help
