Hi,
will the AC-Adapter be flexibel for using in 110V Countries like the USA and 220V Countries like European-Countries?
Thanks

The M3 PS was, so I don't see why this one wouldn't be. Most new PS's these days are dual voltage compatable. It just makes sense from a manufacturing point of view.

The M3 one is, so I doubt the X5 one will be any different.
In fact it probaly will be the same charger, as the eXity confirmed the cradle is compatible.

My company is actually looking at marketing a product in S. Korea, and it apppears that they are in the process of a switch from a 110V standard to a 220V standard (I think mostly done, but maybe not complete). So they practically have to be universal just for their home market. Since modern switching supplies don't care about frequency (50 or 60Hz) and the extra tolerance to cover 100-240v is pretty small, I would expect them to just use international adaptors. Actually, with switching supplies, I'm pretty sure that 50-60Hz and 100-240V doesn't cost more than picking a single frequency and voltage. Although physical adaptors do cost, and would need to be purchased seperately. Actually, the aforementioned change might be the reason that the supplies are shown with an adaptor in all of the manuals.

Interesting news Tsayin on Korea changing. AFAIK most of the world already used 220v anyway.

Hi Guys,

I'm almost ready to buy a 20GB X5 in the USA, but I'm spending the summer in Ireland and I need to know if the X5 comes with a universal charger i.e. (100 - 240), so I can use it in both countries.
If not, can I buy a generic charger in Ireland to provide the power supply??
Thanks for your help.
