I've had my Cowon A2 for a year now, and I have had no regrets with it. It has simply lived up to every one of my expectations. However, now the battery life has gone down so much that I fear that it has lost its most valuable quality.
I have heard to things people have said to do to keep the battery lasting, but I think I totally ignored them. Therefore I think it is totally my fault, this is basically what I do normally:
1) I will usually use the player to play videos at night while having it hooked up with the AC adapter. When I'm done, I will just turn off the player but keep it charging for the whole night, sometimes for 1-2 days without disconnecting the AC adapter.
2) I will always use the TV-out option, and have it connected to the AC adapter simultaneously. Sometimes I have used the player for 2-4 hours while having it hooked on to the ac adapter.
What I want to know is if it is the way that I used my player which has brought it to its current condition and whether I will be able to get a new A2.
Can I get a new A2 if I call cowon and tell them that the battery drains and that my warranty has not expired?
