I hope it doesn't look like both of them, untill now the design of the Iaudio-players has been so much better than any other Korean brand. Hope it will be less tacky than the players shown above.
yeah you're right, although I kinda like the mpio. I still find it a bit weird; a flashplayer with a colourscreen. it's nice, but for what purpose?
only a gimmick right?

Why would it be a gimmick? If you could play videoclips or view pics or text it would be awesome. Think about it. Why are flash players adding OLED screens with color and LCDs with multiple color backlights? Color LCDs is just a natural evolution. Don't hate it because Cowon doesn't have one....yet. As long as it doesn't suck much battery power then I'd take color LCDs over OLED anyday of the week. You also have to remember that LCD can display any type of graphic unlike OLED where everything is fixed, predetermined. Just imagine this with a bigger color LCD screen.

Going by your logic the X5's color LCD is also a gimmick...don't be a hater. I love iAudio products just like the next guy, but at least I'm not so close minded to give credit where credit is due. iRiver flash players had USB 2.0 before iAudio flash players, but that doesn't mean I need to put down the iRivers because I own an iAudio. I chose an I5 simply because it has so many features including USB2.0.
Color is just the natural progression of technology. Really mp3 players are actually behind, most cell phones are color now, it's not that it's a gimmick, it's just that there's less and less reason not to have a color screen with cheaper electronics.

Also, a real white backlight color LCD will offer better contrast in daylight, and an easy to read screen in the dark. Even if you can't use it for pictures of video on a flash player, it still has some purpose.
