What's to stop me changing the drive?

Let's say I somehow get ahold of a Cowon Q5 in Australia at some point in the future. Does anyone know if I'd be able to change the drive in it? The main factor behind this question isn't extra space, though that would be nice, but is instead that I'd like to be able to place an SSD in there instead. I'd expect the battery life to be better with it, and I'd worry less about running while listening to it. Anyone know if this'd be possible?

It should be very possible but until someone gets one has the nerve to open it so see space, hard drive connector etc, it cant be confirmed. Adding a ssd will make this run at over a thousand aussie dollars, but if thats what you want to do, do it.

just get a cheapo flash player for that, dude. not worth the risk. even with SSD, you could drop it and hurt the screen.

dunno about that, it's the same width as a cd case and only 2/3 of the height. back in the day i used to run around with a whole portable cd player (ie. even bigger than a cd case) in my pocket. big pockets. not that i was listening to it at the same time. oohh the skipping fun [excited]

running with a q5? lets not get silly, its fractionally bigger than the a2 and would seroiously weigh you down, might be good for extra weight training though! hehe

a cummon, 380g is nothing, officially the weight of 3 remote controls (or so my handy kitchen scales tell me). you lots are just lazy [toungue] [rolleyes] seriously though, i'm just hoping it's fine to run with, then i can sell my other player to fund the q5 [yes]
