I use mainly Ubuntu linux and for some reason when I unmount the i7 it stays on the USB connected screen and does not display the Charging screen. Any ideas if this is specifically Ubuntu linux or if it is to do with the i7? Will be quite pissed off if I can't charge the i7 in linux..

Who Am I?

not sure if the i7 is the same but in windows i have to remove the device for it to show the charging screen on my F2. maybe you can remove the i7 in the same way.

Yeh, in Windows when I go to safely remove hardware it disconnects it then the player shows the charging window. However, in my Linux when I remove the hardware the USB Connected screen stays there and the charging one doesn't come up. Presumably it still charges up though, just doesn't display it..
