I came across the PocketDOS website (http://www.pocketdos.com) and thought I should share the link altough I don't know if it will work on the Q5.

yes, pocketdos will work on the cowon q5.

An Hitachi SH3, Hitachi SH4, MIPS-compatible, ARM-compatible (eg. StrongARM, XScale) CPU.
At least 1Mb free program memory. ok
At least 1Mb free storage. ok

For a while I actually thought I'd be able to play the x-com series on on the Q5 but after some more reading that seems unlikely anytime soon :-)
