There is no confirmation yet that the U.S. units won't include a case, it may still happen.

The pictures of the korean packages have a case, so I assume it's true with the US. But even if it isn't the US still gets the player cheaper than most places so noone should be complaining.

Americans are normally NOT short changed by the companies - its we BRITS that ALWAYS get short changed - stuff that is part of the package in the U.S. are extras at bloated prices in the UK - and frankly, I'm (and lots of other fellow brits) are getting rather p****d off with it.

It seems that Cowon/iAudio are trying the old trick that we Brits always get - THIS is extra, THAT is extra - at this rate, iAudio are going to be charging us extra for the packaging, and the air that surrounds the packaging. :x

I'll have to admit - as the price of the iaudio climbs ever skyward, the Sony nw-hd5 30gb looks a better and better deal - but I so much WANT the iAudio M5L 30gb (or is it the X5L ? Why two names ?) Will the Brit sites give us the option of buying the cradle/remote/carry case ? Or are they going to do their usual - rip us off or not give us the option ? These are usually the only choices we have....

In my opinion, it's ridicoulous not to include a case with such an expensive player. It doesn't cost much to include and all the competitors come with one.

The M5L has a monochrome LCD vs the X5L with a color LCD. The M5L should also be cheaper, but it will be released later than the X5L.

I'm glad to hear the screen protectors are included, now I wont go to OfficeMax and get some and cut them for the right size before I buy the X5
