Can anyone please demystify me as to what I should do in order to download the thousands of songs in my itunes which are on my MacBook onto my new iaudio 7? I have never owned a portable MP3 player before so this entire process is new to me.

The CD support I received from iaudio 7 looks like it will only run on my PC since I am having difficulty getting much of it to work on my MacBook.

Can I actually use the iaudio 7 with my MacBook or was I misunderstanding the situation when I read that iaudio 7 could read both OS X and PC files? I thought for sure it would work with my Macbook.

Please help me!

I'm on OSX and have the IAudio 7. You can just highlight the file you want to move and drag and drop it from ITunes to the Music Folder within the IAudio 7 folder that pops up on your screen when you've connected it via USB. However, if the files are AAC (which if you bought them all through the ITunes store they would be - unless they are the mp3 format ITunes just started selling), then AAC is not a format supported by the IAudio 7, so I think you would have to use ITunes to convert the AAC to mp3. I don't have AAC files so I'm not sure if they are protected and if ITunes lets you convert. You might have to burn to CD then reimport them or use some other program. Bottom line, it's always drag and drop for OSX, but the file type has to one it can read.

Same is true of the video files, where you need 3rd party software like ffmpeg to convert the video to the right type, because the software from IAudio is PC only.
